Requirements

Procedure

1. Choose an image

The first thing you need to do is choose an image to cut. The image should be black and white and not too complicated, especially if you're a beginner.

You can find black and white images on the internet or create them yourself using a graphic software.

• If you're using an image from the internet, you can save it to your computer or copy it directly into the text box of Costycnc.
• If you're creating an image yourself, make sure it's black and white and has a thickness of at least 1 pixel.

2. Load the image or copy it into the text box

Once you've chosen an image, you need to load it or copy it into the text box of Costycnc.

• If you're loading a file, click the "Load file" button and select the file you want to load.

• If you're copying the image from the text box, right-click the text box and select "Paste".

• The image will be loaded or copied into the text box.

3. Wait for the image to be converted to GCode

Costycnc will automatically convert the image to GCode in a few seconds.

4. Adjust the image size

If you want to change the size of the image, you can do it in the Costycnc software.

• Click on the "Image height" icon and enter the new height of the image in pixels.

• Click anywhere on the page to apply the change.

• The image will be resized to the specified dimensions.

Warning: If the image has a low resolution or is too small, it may appear distorted or jagged when it's enlarged. In this case, it's advisable to choose an image with a higher resolution.

5. Connect to the CNC machine

Now that the image has been converted to GCode and the size has been adjusted, you need to connect to the CNC machine.

• Follow the instructions in your CNC machine manual to connect.

6. Send the GCode to the CNC machine

Once you're connected to the CNC machine, you can send the GCode to the machine.

• Click the "Write" button to send the GCode to the machine.

• The CNC machine will then start cutting the image.

7. Wait for the CNC machine to finish cutting the image

The CNC machine will take a few minutes to cut the image.

Once the CNC machine has finished cutting the image, you can remove the foam from the machine.
