How to Write CostyCNC Firmware on a New Arduino Module (no mini!)

The CostyCNC foam cutter is a powerful and versatile machine that can be used to cut a variety of foam materials. However, like any machine, it can sometimes experience problems. One common problem is a corrupted firmware or problems with the Arduino module. If you buy a new Arduino module, you need to first download the CostyCNC firmware to the Arduino module.

Here are the steps on how to write CostyCNC medio and grande firmware on a new Arduino module:

1. Open the CostyCNC firmware CostyCNC website https://www.costycnc.it/firmware/firmware
2. Connect the Arduino module to your computer using a USB cable.
3. If you are already connected with a USB cable, first disconnect and reconnect the USB cable from the computer to make sure that the port is free and connected.
   

   

   
   
4. When you click the "Nano with new bootloader" button, you will be asked which port the Arduino is connected.Select the port and click connect button.
   
   
   
5. When you click "Connect", the progress will increase until it is finished. If this does not happen, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable from the computer again to free up the usb port.
   
   
   
   
6. Now, when you click the second button "Nano with old bootloader", the progress will increase until it is finished.

Once the firmware has been written,disconnect and reconnect the USB cable from the computer again to free up the port, the Arduino module will restart. You can then connect the Arduino module to the CostyCNC foam cutter and program https://www.costycnc.it/cm8 and start using the machine.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when writing CostyCNC firmware on a new Arduino module:

• Do not disconnect the Arduino module from your computer while the firmware is being written.
• If the firmware writing process fails, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable from the computer to free up the port and then trying again.
