How slicing polystyrene styrofoam with gcode and costycnc foam cutter m...
Inthis video i show you how use gcode for custom necessity.
My online program from costycnc.it/editor or directly costycnc.it/cm8 permit to insert standard iso gcode (grbl gcode).
In this case i need to slicing a piece of foam about 3 cm in 3 pieces of 1cm
So in Gcode box i insert:
G91 F500
G01 X700
G01 Y10
G01 X-700
G91 mean incremental ... so il cnc move from this point to another point with x and y value
If i had put G90 that mean absolute ... in this case not use x-700 ... but X0 because cnc orking in absolute
F500 is feedrate ... that mean velocity ... so put lower values if cnc move too fast
G01 is working movement (dictate by F500)
If i had put G00 is fast movement (and is dictate internal at high speed)
X700 is movement in mm
If i had add G20 next to G91 ... mean that all misures is in inch ...
so X 700 move in inch not in cm
The sistem is setting by default G21 in cm
Is little complicted ... but if you force yourself to learn at least this fondamental gcode ... after you can use my machine to learn another gcode istructions.
Costycnc foam cutter can begin a educational cnc for learn gcode.
Thank for those that buy the costycnc machine and now can make this work professional.
